"The days are long and the nights are longer" according to an east Galway woman who lost her husband and two children in a drowning tragedy last year.
Geraldine Mullan is preparing to mark the first anniversary of the death of her husband John and children Tomas and Amelia who passed away after a road crash that resulted in their car entered water in Lough Foyle.
The Letterkenny Hospital nurse says that establishing the Mullan Hope centre Moville in Donegal, where her family ran a garden centre, has helped in some way to cope with the loss of her family.

However, she admits that despite almost a year passing since August 20th the memories of her familyare still very vivid:
