There are 498 people with the disease in hospital, of which 116 are in ICU.

Ireland's 14-day incidence rate is now 201 cases per 100,000 people.

Offaly and Longford currently have the highest rates of infection in the country at 401 and 396 respectively, and Cork and Kerry have the lowest.

Ten new cases of Covid were recorded in Longford today, none in Leitrim and fewer than five in Roscommon.
