TD says Government has broken promise regarding 24/7 paramedic cover in Roscommon

She says the county's Rapid Response Vehicle is not available to the public on Mondays from 8pm to 8am because the overtime which used to keep it in function is no longer being paid.

The government has broken its promise to secure a functioning ambulance service in Co. Roscommon. That's according to local Sinn Féin TD Claire Kerrane, who has raised concerns about the lack of 24/7 paramedic cover in the county. She says the county's Rapid Response Vehicle is not available to the public on Mondays from 8pm to 8am because the overtime which used to keep it in function is no longer being paid.

The TD also pointed out the vehicle is not being operated by an advanced paramedic, who has the skill to provide 23 more medications than a regular paramedic. The Roscommon politician says the government has not done enough to address the lack of emergency services in the county:
