TD hopes Drumlish project that missed out on RDF funding may be reconsidered

It's hoped that a project in Drumlish, which missed out on funding under the Rural Regeneration and Development Fund may still be in contention for a cash injection later this year.

Ballymahon in south Longford was the only significant project which received funding from the government as part of the €75m announcement made this morning by Minister Heather Humphreys.

There has been disappointment expressed that a plan for an eco-centre in Drumlish has missed out on funding of €1.3m as the project was felt to have had a great chance of success.

However, TD Joe Flaherty is hopeful that the Drumlish application may be examined again later this year:
