The Taoiseach says he's taking a leading role in finding a permanent solution to flooding at Lough Funshinagh. The installation of an overflow pipe at the turlough was halted following successful High Court action by an environmental group in 2021.

The Taoiseach will chair a meeting between Roscommon County Council, the OPW and the Attorney General next month. Speaking to the Joe Finnegan Show, he said he would then meet those families affected by rising water levels since 2016:
