Taoiseach says housing is government's number one priority

The Taoiseach says housing remains the Government’s number one priority.

Micheál Martin was speaking on his way into Cabinet where Senior Ministers will be updated on proposals to curb the influence of property investment funds in Ireland.

The Housing and Finance Ministers have been working on changes to planning and tax laws to stop investment funds buying up new housing estates.

The Taoiseach says they want to sort it out.
