The Taoiseach has defended the Government decision not to renew the evictions ban.
The restriction will lapse at the end of this month with evictions to resume on a phased basis out to June.
Opposition parties have been strongly critical of the move with People Before Profit describing it as inhumane.

Taoiseach Leo Varadkar though has said the ban was creating a new form of homelessness in people who couldn't move back into property they owned.
