90 per cent of people think retirees should get a dig-out in October's budget if they're renting.
A survey of 2,000 people by Taxback found a similar number want an increase in the State pension, with a third saying it should go up by €50 or more.
Almost three in ten think the pension should be benchmarked to 34 per cent of average earnings- which is being called for by advocacy groups for older people.
