Study reveals Castlerea has least expensive property

A new study reveals Castlerea in Co. Roscommon is the least expensive when it comes to property prices.

The rate at which residential property prices are increasing continues to slow.

The National Residential Property Price Index published by the CSO shows residential property prices increased by 5 per cent in the 12 months to February.

That's down from 6.1 per cent in the year to January.

In Dublin city and county, house prices increased by 3 per cent and apartment prices were up 4 per cent. However, in Dublin city there was a fall in house prices by 0.5 per cent.

Outside the capital house prices went up by 6.6 per cent and apartment prices rose by 3.3 per cent.

The border region saw the largest increase in house prices at 9 per cent , while the mid-west region saw a 4.9 per cent increase. The most expensive Eircode area over the 12 months to February 2023 was A94 'Blackrock'. While F35 'Ballyhaunis' and F45 ‘Castlerea’ shared the least expensive price.
