The copper covering started peeling off St Joseph's Church

Some of the copper covering peeled off in the strong winds on Friday morning. 

The roof of St Joseph's Church in Boyle has been temporarily secured after it was damaged in Storm Eowyn.

Some of the copper covering peeled off in the strong winds on Friday morning.

But there has been no damage inside the church and Masses are continuing as normal.

Parish priest Gerry Hanly addressed the issue at Mass on Saturday night, where he told the congregation he still has concerns:
