Storm Barra on course to hit Ireland tomorrow morning

Several western counties will be under orange weather warnings from tomorrow.

Counties in the south and west are bracing themselves for strong winds, storm surges and power outages as Storm Barra approaches.

It's set to hit tomorrow morning, with a Status Orange Wind Warning in effect from 6am for Clare, Cork, Kerry, Limerick and Galway and due to last 24 hours.

A Status Red Marine Warning will also be in place off south-western coasts from 3am until 11pm tomorrow.

Gusts of up to 130 kilometres per hour are expected, along with heavy rain.
