A caravan stolen from a Roscommon family in the early hours of yesterday morning has been spotted heading across the midlands.
Gardaí investigating the theft of the caravan from Elphin in the county have identified the vehicle on CCTV footage in Westmeath.
The 06 Bailey Ranger Caravan was spotted passing through Rathowen after 3.30 am yesterday, followed by another appearance on CCTV footage in Mullingar at 4 o'clock later that morning.
Local Gardaí are appealing for witnesses along with anyone with CCTV cameras or dash cams to review their footage over the early hours of yesterday morning in an effort to further track the movement of the caravan.
The Caravan had been purchased three weeks earlier to be used as part of a family holiday.
