Its going to be very warm over the next few days.

A status orange warning for high temperatures has been issued for the Shannonside Northern Sound region.

Met Éireann says temperatures will exceed 30 degrees in the region today and overnight temperatures are unlikely to drop below 20 degrees.

It earlier issued a yellow warning for the whole country due to the high temperatures and hot conditions being experienced.

The orange warning is in place for Cavan, Monaghan, south Leitrim, Roscommon, Longford and Westmeath from 2pm today util Friday afternoon.
