The St Vincent's Healthcare Group insists it must retain ownership of the site of the new National Maternity Hospital
The group says it is necessary for the delivery of integrated patient care at the Elm Park Campus in Dublin.
In a statement this evening, SVHG says the facility will be clinically independent and there will be no religious or Vatican influence.
