St Stephens day walks are underway across the region.

There are many walks underway across the region this morning.

There are lots of fundraising walks and runs are taking place across the region this Stephen's day.

In Roscommon Town, the Western Alzeimer's Society is holding their fundraising walk in Roscommon town at 12pm starting from Hannon's hotel and Lisa O'Rourke will cut the start ribbon.

Also in Roscommon, Croghan tidy towns's 10k/6k run/walk starts at 12pm in Croghan village, with registration at 11am in the community centre.

In Longford, St Columba's GFC in Mullinalaghta are holding their fundraiser at 11am, with proceeds going to the Kevin Bell Repatriation Fund, and St Mary's Granard's fundraiser gets underway at 12pm in the park, all proceeds to Creeslough.

The Arva Turkey trot leaves from the Breffni Arms Hotel at 12:30pm with 7k/10k distances available.

While in Leitrim, the Annaduff/Drumsna fundraising walk for the church restoration fund takes place today as well as the Drumeerin 5k, which leaves from the Newbridge Schoolhouse at 12pm.
