A 22-year-old man has appeared in court charged with the murder of Aidan Moffitt and Michael Snee in Sligo.
Yousef Palani, of Markievicz Heights in Sligo, was also charged with assault.
Yousef Palani was charged with the murder of Aidan Moffitt on Sunday April 10th at Cartron Heights in Sligo.
He is also accused of the murder of Michael Snee at City View apartments on the Connaughton Road on Tuesday April 12th.
Garda Gary Conneely gave evidence of arrest, charge and caution in respect to this count, to which Mr Palani replied 'No I understand that Gary'.
He also appeared before Sligo District Court accused of assaulting Anthony Burke on Saturday April 9th on the Cleveragh Road in Sligo.
His solicitor Gerard McGovern said there was no application for bail in the case of the third charge.
Mr McGovern also requested that his client be medically assessed immediately.

There was also an application for legal aid which was granted.
Mr Palani was remanded in custody to appear before Sligo District Court again via videolink on later this month.
