The Emergency Department at Sligo University Hospital is the second busiest ED in the country today.

25 patients are on trolleys at the North West Hospital, with a further 15 waiting on chairs.

University Hospital Galway has 32 people waiting for a bed as of this morning, the majority of which are on trolleys.

Meanwhile, there are 2 people each waiting in Portiuncula Hospital and Mullingar Hospital.

Nationally 402 people are waiting for beds in hospitals this morning with University Hospital Limerick the worst affected with 90 patients on trolleys.
