There was a slight drop in the number of people unemployed in the Shannonside region last month.
Leitrim recorded the single largest drop, with 1341 people were on the Live Register last month - down from 1,388 in April.
Year on year, the level of unemployment in Leitrim has dropped a total of 134 people.
In Longford, 2,112 people were classed as unemployed on the Live Register last month - down 12 on the figures for April.
The latest CSO figures bucks the trend for March, when the county recorded a slight increase in its unemployment total and reflects a drop of 56 year-on-year in the unemployment total.
In Roscommon, 1927 across the county are on the Live Register - a reduction of 20 on the figure for April.
Year on year, it represents an increase of 160 on the figures for the same month last year.
In Athlone 1,515 people are unemployed - down 41 on figures for April.
