A local publican says there may be only six pubs in Roscommon Town in ten years' time. A new report commissioned by the Drinks Industry Group of Ireland shows over 150 pubs in the Shannonside region have closed since 2005. The report also found Roscommon and Longford have some of the highest rate of closures in the country. Co-owner of 'Down the Hatch', Seamus Hayden, says he expects more closures to come:
