The meeting with Micheál Martin was organised by Longford Fianna Fail TD Joe Flaherty.

The family of Bryonny Sainsbury will meet the Tánaiste this afternoon in their ongoing quest to have the report into their daughters treatment released

The 25 year old Longford woman died in 2021 days after she was injured in an accident with her horse.

The inquest into her death returned a verdict of Medical Misadventure, with significant issues identified in her treatment at Midlands Regional Hospital Mullingar.

The Ireland East Hospital Group confirmed a report into Bryonny's treatment would be compiled and released last year.

Her parents Alison and Chris have been campaigning for the release of the report and have criticised repeated delays from the HSE.

A statement from the IEHG to Shannonside News this week apologised to the family for the delay and said the report is at an advanced stage.
