Roscommon trailer owner issues warning after theft from outside home

Members of the public are being asked to help in the search for an Ifor Williams "tipper" trailer stolen from outside a house in Roscommon in the early hours of Tuesday morning.

The 8x5 trailer had LED lights on the back mud flaps and on the chassis, and the jockey wheel was a gold colour.

There was also a half-tonne bag of turf mould in the back of the trailer when it was taken.

Anne Marie Campbell says the trailer was parked outside the house near the front wall in Mount Talbot when it was stolen sometime between 12 midnight on Monday and 4 o' clock the following morning.

She says it's a warning for everyone that there are always thieves around waiting for an opportunity…
