The annual Chief Fire Officers Association Conference is to be hosted in Roscommon over the next two days.
The event which will be attended by hundreds of fire safety personnel from across the country is taking place in Kilronan Castle.
Among the speakers will be the Fire Commissioner from the City of Philadelphia Fire Department, and an engineer from the Danish Fire Research Fire Safety and Central Operations Unit who will talk about the safety of emerging sustainable technologies.

The opening session will take place this morning, with Minister Darragh O' Brien due to address the final session tomorrow afternoon.
There will also be contributions from fire officers from the UK, Northern Ireland, and Belgium.
