A new temporary walk-in test centre is to be set up in Castlerea in Roscommon next week to help identify a-symptomatic cases of Covid-19 in the community.

The centre will be established at Castlerea Fire Station on Church Street in the town as part of a new national strategy to combat the unwitting spread of the virus by those not experiencing symptoms but who are infected.

The centre will begin operations on Tuesday the 27th of April and will initially run until Tuesday the 4th of May.
