A popular Roscommon supermarket has their planning permission for extension works refused by county planners.
Hanly's Spar Supermarket Ltd in Strokestown had applied for alterations to an existing house beside the well known shop.
The applicants sought to have the change of use of part of the existing ground floor of the building on Bawn Street, to a shop unit.

Plans included alterations to the internal layout, front and rear fenestration and the removal, setting back and rebuilding of the existing eastern gable wall. Roscommon County planners refused the application this week
