Junk Kouture is also open to students across England, France, Italy, the United Arab Emirates, and New York.

The entries have to be manufactured from unwanted and recycled items, with the Elphin outfit, titled STEMinist is made up of medical tubing, a dissembled builders hat and rusted corrugated iron.

The World Junk Kouture title was won last year by students from Cnoc Mhuire in Granard.
