Roscommon restaurant owner vows to reopen indoor dinning next week

The Government plans to delay the re-opening of indoor dining have faced scathing criticism around the country.

A Roscommon business owner has vowed to reopen his restaurant for indoor dining next week despite Government delaying the sector from fully reopening.

The owner of The Old Stone House in Ballinlough claims they will offer customers the choice of indoor and outdoor dining from Monday.

The re-opening of indoor dining has been delayed until at least the 19th of July, with a system for allowing vaccinated people access to indoor settings being worked out over the coming weeks.

Speaking to the Joe Finnegan Show today, Restaurant owner Ray O'Connor says they've invested in speciality air purifiers that he claims will keep people safe from the virus while inside.

He's urging people to be given the chance to make up their own minds:
