Roscommon records five-day moving average of eight new Covid cases

Roscommon currently has a 5 day moving average of eight confirmed Covid cases.

The county's incidence rate has risen once again - and is now the fourth-highest in the country.

New figures published by the HPSC show a total of 87 cases confirmed in Roscommon in the last 14 days- resulting in a per 100,000 rate of 134 - making it the fourth-worst affected county in Ireland per population.

The data range, which covers the period from the 14th of June until midnight last Sunday reveals a total of 117 cases in County Westmeath in the time period.

Sligo recorded 86 cases in the same 14 day period - and its Covid incidence rate is the sixth-worst just behind Westmeath.

48 cases have been confirmed in Cavan in the last two weeks, with 24 in Monaghan, 15 in Leitrim and 19 in Longford.

Donegal, Limerick and Waterford are the counties with the worst incidence rates in the country at present.
