Roscommon Racecourse has applied for planning permission for upgrades to their track in Roscommon Town.
The application by Roscommon Racecourse Ltd seeks the boring of a 4,546 cubic meter water storage lagoon and the construction of a pumping station. It's planned that the developments would enable the set up of an upgraded irrigation system for the racetrack.
Roscommon County planners are set to decide on the issue in February.
