A Roscommon man who died after attempting to stop thieves from stealing his car will be laid to rest today.
Ian McDonnell, who was formerly from the Dublin Road in Roscommon and Elphin died from his injuries at Tallaght Hospital on January 29th.
The father of two will be buried later today in Caldra Cemetery following funeral mass in St. Patrick's church Elphin at 11:30.

Gardai are continuing to investigate Mr McDonnell's killing.
