Roscommon hotelier says slow start will be needed as doors re-open to customers

It's another step back to normality for Ireland's tourism industry

Hotels and B&Bs are reopening their doors this morning as covid restrictions ease further.

Guesthouses and self-catering accommodation can also welcome guests for the first time this year. The Irish Hotels Federation says more than 30,000 staff will return to work over the summer as a result.

General Manager of the Hodson Bay Hotel In Roscommon, Tim Hayes, says they are seeing strong demand for the summer months.
