The HSE confirmed that recruitment for the centre is at an advanced stage.

A Roscommon GP says it's frustrating that young people can't access full mental health services from the County's CAMHS Connect Programme.

Staffing issues are delaying the rollout of some child and adolescent services at the e-Mental health hub in Castlerea.

The facility which was opened two years ago is still in the process of recruiting a number of roles, including a Clinical Nurse Specialist, Senior Psychologist and Occupational Therapist.

While it's understand recruitment for these positions is at an advanced stage, local GP Greg Kelly believes more incentives are needed to recruit staff in rural areas.

Doctor Kelly says the delay is putting a strain on GP's, nurses but most importantly the patient.
