Roscommon Gardai issue warning following arrest of bogus tradesman

Roscommon Gardaí are calling on the public to be wary of bogus tradesmen following an arrest over the weekend.

According to local Gardaí, a group from the south west of the country have been operating in the Clontusket, Scramogue and Strokestown areas under the guise of offering tarmacadam works.

Following reports of suspicious activity in the region on Saturday , Gardaí stopped and arrested an individual and seized a vehicle.

Gardaí are urging the public to be vigilant of any group calling to homes to offer services, with residents advised to contact the local Garda Station if they have a suspicion.
