A Roscommon family is hoping to organise as many adventures as possible for their 4 year old daughter who is terminally ill.

Lucy Croghan from Frenchpark was diagnosed with stage 4 Wilms tumour on her kidney in late December 2021.

She underwent chemotherapy at Crumlin Children's Hospital but her mother says her lung capacity is now down to 60 per cent.

They've been told their time with Lucy has been reduced to a matter of months and they're hoping to make special memories with their daughter in the meantime.

A GoFund me page as well as a special wish list has been published online.

Lucy's mother Zara told Shannonside FM despite all the difficulties Lucy continues to show great strength and bravery.

"They way she copes with everything, everybody, and I mean everybody, would be proud of that little girl. She's very tired lately, like the past few weeks. She can't really do a lot. She's just tired. For the past couple of days she's been complaining of pain in her left side, which is the lung that is covered".
