Roscommon councillor says online comments have targetted her age

Roscommon councillor Emer Kelly says most of the negative comments she's heard or seen online refer to her age rather than anything else.

She was responding to controversy over the Mail on Sunday article last week about the dress and appearance of some female and male Fianna Fail TD's.

Emer Kelly was co-opted onto Roscommon Council last May to fill the seat vacated by former councillor Ivan Connaughton.

Speaking on the Joe Finnegan show today Emer, who's  22, revealed that any criticism of her so far online seems to focus on her age.
