County planners found serious issues with the development's proposed waste treatment system.

Roscommon County Council have refused planning permission for the construction of 9 holiday chalets near Boyle.

SLCER Ltd applied to the council for the development at Runnaroddan Townland at Kingsland in Boyle.

The plans called for 9 chalets along with ancillary site services, including the installation of a holding tank for the storage of waste.

In refusing the application, county planners stated the waste water treatment system planned for the site was 'wholly insufficient and unacceptable.'

It was also noted in the refusal that the development failed to satisfy the development management standards set out in the Roscommon County Development plans.
