Roscommon bus firm to complete second refugee mission in Ukraine

Aidan Geraghty says Ukrainians who had the means have been able to travel to safety in recent months but more vulnerable people are still trapped in many parts of the country

A Roscommon bus firm hopes to complete its second special refugee mission to Ukraine next month.

Aidan Geraghty from Geraghty Travel has helped almost 150 Ukrainians get to Ireland since March of this year.

The Castlerea native will travel solo to Lviv on Friday to logistically plan for bringing his bus to the city in June to rescue more refugees.

A GoFund Me page called coach to Ukraine and back has been set up to assist the operation and the buss aid to the country on its departure from Ireland.

Speaking on Let's Talk earlier he says everyone deserves the opportunity to leave the war torn country and all monies raised will help to save a life.
