Hospitals are to consider amending the rules which have prevented partners from offering immediate support in hospitals in the coming weeks

A Rooskey mother says it's very important to allow partners into wards if there are complications with pregnancies.

It comes as the HSE's Director of Women and Infant Health says that Maternity hospitals can consider easing visitor restrictions over the coming weeks, due to the improving Covid-19 situation,

Some maternity hospitals have recently slightly eased restrictions, but tight limits remain in place.

Charlotte Fox was diagnosed with gestational diabetes late in her pregnancy and had to be admitted to the hospital for observation for a number of days.
