Speaking on the Joe Finnegan Show today, Longford Councillor Gerry Warnock revealed he is considering running in the next General Election.

The ripples from the release of the Electoral Commissions Boundary report are still being felt by local politicians.

Among the changes, Longford Westmeath is to get an extra seat in the next Dáil, while North Roscommon has been returned to the rest of the county from the Sligo Leitrim Constiuency.

Speaking on the Joe Finnegan Show today, Longford Councillor Gerry Warnock revealed he is considering running in the next General Election.

The Independent Councillor, who withdrew from the ballot in 2016, says he is once again considering a move from local to national politics:

Meanwhile, Senator Aisling Dolan has confirmed she will contest the next general election in the Roscommon Galway Constuency.

The Fine Gael Senator, who is based in the East Galway/West Roscommon area, told the Joe Finnegan Show that she wants to continue her work in the region:
