The film titles, "The Assault on and Capture of Ballymahon RIC Barracks" and is the creation of filmmaker Michael Conlan and Rónán Ó Ceallaigh, a local man who organised the erection of a plaque to commemorate the event last year.

On the 11th of March 1921, 6 members of the Leitrim IRA flying column were killed in an ambush by RIC forces.
