A Leitrim man has been arrested after reversing a truck through the gates of the Russian Embassy in Dublin.
This incident of criminal damage as described by Gardai happened at around half past 1 this afternoon outside the Russian Embassy on the Orwell Road.
Footage shows a truck reversing through the gates of the embassy, and it remains there this afternoon.
Eyewitnesses say a number of cars were seen leaving the Embassy sometime before this incident happened.
It's understood that the man told onlookers that he was from Leitrim prior to being arrested.
The man who was arrested is being held at Rathfarnham Garda Station, while the road is closed to all traffic.
