The majority of boil water notices in place last year related to inadequate disinfection. Locally, four were issued in county Roscommon and one in Longford.

Three of these took place at the Castlerea PWS with one power outage and two turbidities. A power outage was also recorded at Boyle regional. Cryptosporidium was recorded at Granard. Of the 66 boil water notices issued last year, nine were associated with Storm Éowyn, while 11 supplies were subject to more than one boil water notice across the year.
