Daft.ie's new report shows the average price of a home nationally is just under 310-thousand euro.

The average cost of a home in the Shannonside region is bucking the national trend by increasing in the last 12 months.

That's the findings of the latest Daft.ie property report which shows the median cost of a house locally is €186,934.

The figures released by the property website show that while the growth of house prices nationally slowed down, they rose in some counties including Roscommon, Longford and Leitrim.
