Each county in the Shannonside Northern Sound Region have registered a jump in average rents despite a year of financial issues for many tenants due to the economic effects of the ongoing pandemic.

Average rents across the Shannonside Northern Sound have grown over the last year despite the Covid-19 pandemic.

That's according to new figures from the Residential Tenancies Board that shows widespread jumps in the cost of rent nationwide.

Leitrim has seen the highest percentage increase in rental costs nationwide throughout 2020 when compared to the previous year.
