Expressions of Interest for a new grant aided regenerative tourism scheme for counties in the Shannonside region will open tomorrow.
Fáilte Ireland announced the €68 million fund as part of the EU Just Transition and Placemaking scheme.
Up to €17 million is available to small businesses who have ideas for boosting tourism to the region.

Speaking on the Joe Finnegan show, he says there's a wide range of categories that people can apply to
"Types of projects that we're looking for are anything from on the water experiences, we're offering funding for accomodation for improved accessibility within existing tourism businesses as well so if you've got a business that maybe isn't fully accessible to people with disability needs or with access needs, or even older people, and you want to future proof your business, there's funding available".
