Ballinamore junction project will be completed this year

A number of active regeneration projects are ongoing across County Leitrim.

That's according to Director of services with the local authority Joseph Gilhooley.

The Ballinamore junction project is expected to be completed this year and will provide a youth facility as well as blended working opportunities.

While in Mohill, tenders have now closed for the public realm works with work expected to begin in 2023.

The will involve improving the connections between places of education, work, retail and community settings.

It will also develop a new public space at the O'Carolan monument for community and festival events as well as conservation works to the curtilage of St. Mary's Church

Joseph says completed works in Carrick on Shannon in 2022 including the street scape, boardwalk and car park have received positive feedback and he's hopeful this will be replicated in the other towns.
