New regeneration plans have been announced for a development at Garvey's Yard in Longford.
The alley and open space in the centre of the town have previously been a hotbed of anti social behaviour.
Plans revealed during the 3rd Quarter meeting of the Longford Community Safety Partnership call for a section of the yard to be re-purposed into new office space.

It's planned that the development would be home to the Probation Service, the Department of Justice section responsible for working with offenders to reduce the level of crime and to increase public safety, by changing their behaviours.
The recent meeting of the LCSP also heard calls for the site to be used for local addiction services.
