A large number of people are expected to gather at a rally in Leitrim today, in opposition of proposed prospecting in the county.
The protest will begin at Manorhamilton Castle at 3pm and is organised by Treasure Leitrim.
It coincides with a national day of action over climate change as the COP26 conference concludes.

The local group believes that mining will have a negative impact on the environment and the area, if a licence is granted.
Spokesperson for Treasure Leitrim, Jamie Murphy is hoping that today's rally will highlight the community's plea to the Environment Minister.
