Local TDs Michael Fitzmaurice and Marian Harkin have joined forces with Clare Deputy Michael McNamara to organise a public meeting in Ballinasloe today.
The meeting will hear about the Nature Restoration Laws proposed by the EU, and there will be a focus on the specific aspect of land re-wetting.
Deputies Fitzmaurice and Harkin say all MEPs have bene invited to attend the meeting which will be moderated by Pat O'Toole of the Irish Farmers Journal.

A legal expert will also be present to provide a legal opinion on the proposed laws.
The meeting takes place at the Shearwater Hotel in Ballinasloe at 1 0' clock this afternoon.
