The Chairperson of Leitrim GAA believes the proposed regional sports campus for the county will be a huge boost for Carrick-on-Shannon.
The facility which will be located behind Páirc Seán Mac Diarmada is currently going through part 8 planning and will include an all-weather pitch, 8 lane running track, indoor basketball courts as well as changing rooms and offices.
Councillor Enda Stenson believes the campus will be hugely beneficial for developing all sports in the county and he hopes funding will be made available from Central Government for its completion.

The Eslin man says the centre will attract sporting competitors from around the globe.
