There is currently no hospice in the midlands region.

Architectural plans and feasibility studies have been carried out for a new Hospice in the Midlands.

The 15 bed unit will be located on the Tullamore Hospital Campus and will serve counties Longford, Westmeath, Laois and Offaly.

It was confirmed today that a breakdown of costs and timeline for the development will be published by the end of the year.
